Each sculpture has been lovingly made from hand cast stone and finished with a special gold wash which brings out the special grain and texture. The smooth polished stone finish is a delight to touch and hold as well as look at.

This series of sculptures began at a very special time. A friend came over to model for us with her six month old son. She spent a relaxing day in our studio just lazing back and enjoying the special moments with her child. There was such a wonderful feeling of peacefulness and love between the two of them, that it effortlessly flowed over into these sculptures. Many women from many different cultures have told me they remember holding their babies in one or all of these poses. Perhaps you do too. Motherhood is a universal language which crosses all cultural boundaries. These sculptures will work as a daily reminder to cherish all of those special moments between a mother and child.
