I grew up in an amazing blend of Chinese and Western cultures. Some of my earliest childhood memories from Hong Kong are being taken to many different Buddhist temples by my parents.

Everywhere we went there was the peaceful face of the Buddha smiling down at us. Many years later, now living far away in a distant country, I can still close my eyes and see a collage of many different Buddhas.

When I am painting Buddhas, I first find a very special, quiet place deep inside myself and then paint these feelings of peace and serenity.

What I find fascinating is that many people who are not buddhists are drawn to the vibrant colours and the feelings of my paintings.
