Five Secrets to Keeping the Love in a Relationship Alive

Have you ever known a couple in a relationship whose life seems lived together in a state of love and harmony? Who even after many years, they still seem like newlyweds?

So do you believe that such a perfect loving relationship can exist and survive the passing of time? Or is it just a fairy tale found only in books and romantic movies?

Let me tell you a story about love……..

Many years ago, when I was only 22 years old, I was sitting on a hard wooden bench in a rundown train winding its way through the mountains of Peru. After many hours of the lurching motion, I had drifted off to a state halfway between waking and sleeping; when I had the most remarkable experience.

Although the wooden bench was empty except for me, I suddenly felt as if a beautiful woman was sitting next to me. She reached over and took my hand, and I felt an overwhelming feeling that she was just around the corner. She sat beside me for many minutes with such a feeling of intense love before gradually fading away.

Was it just a dream or a glimpse of my future? I still don’t know.

That strong feeling, that my soulmate was just around the corner and is almost within reach, stayed with me for several months. I met many women and kept asking myself is she the one? Somehow I always knew that it wasn’t.

Still, I knew my soulmate was just around the corner. Sure enough, about four months after the experience on the train, I met Sofan. She was living in a little apartment on the rough side of Chicago, painting her dreams.

The intensity of the experience as our hearts were opened in love to each other took us both by surprise. We were instantly transported together to an amazing place full of laughter, happiness and bliss.

We have been in this state now for many, many years. Our happiness together has survived parenting 3 children, countless travels, many financial ups and downs and many of the things that most couple in a relationship experience, both good and bad.

The point of this story is that if this state of love and happiness in our relationship can still exist for us, then -

Love and happiness can also exist for you as well. Love’s existence is on a higher spiritual level.

Many people are constantly asking us, “What is the secret in keeping the love and passion alive in a relationship after so many years together?” We’ve given this question a lot of thought and now we’d like to share these secrets with you.

Secret 1 – Maintain the passion of falling in love

Do you remember when you first fell in love? Was it an amazing time when your passions burned so brightly that they were visible to everyone around you? Nothing else seemed to matter except the joy of being with the one you loved.

Too often, this flame burns very brightly for just a short time from the beginning of the relationship and then fades out when day to day busy lives take over. That raw passion diminishing over time is quite natural, as the relationship develops and grows into something greater. However it is essential not to let this flame die out completely. Make the time to do fun and romantic things together. Leave the kids at home, leave work where it belongs -at work, leave your friends behind and go spend “alone” time together.

Secret 2 – Communicate and share your dreams

Do you remember at the start of your relationship, when you were holding your lover in your arms and talking about your secrets and dreams? Some people manage to merge their dreams together into something which is achievable for both of them, and some let their dreams just fade away and die. A life without dreams is a very sad and dull thing indeed.

What is very important in maintaining a loving relationship is that one person’s dreams don’t overpower the other persons. A true loving relationship is one of support and sharing the load in helping your partner achieve their dreams. However, it has to work both ways.

Too often though, one person has a dream or a plan, and unconsciously assumes that their partner automatically shares this dream. It is very important to talk and communicate your dreams with your partner. The best way is when you can merge your lives into a shared dream. Understand that when two people dream their lives together, nothing can stand in their way.

Secret 3 – Create a shared home in your hearts together

Do you remember a special shared moment when you felt both of your hearts beating together in perfect synchronicity? Home is not just a physical place. It is a heartfelt space created when two people come together in a state of love and understanding. It a special place filled with warm and nurturing feelings where both people feel safe and secure.

Like any good home, there must first be strong foundations for a loving relationship to be built on. Over time, each loving action you perform in your relationship adds another brick to your special home. There is an old expression “Home is where the heart is” perhaps it means that your home is where your two hearts merge together.

Secret 4 – Let every day have at least one kiss and one playful moment

Can you remember a moment of childlike perfection when the joy of being alive and with someone you loved filled your being? A time when just being with the person you loved made you want to laugh and filled you with a childlike energy. It is so important never to let a day go by without kissing your partner. (And meaning it too!)

Sharing laughter and playing together is a great way to renew your feelings of love. So make sure that every day you give your beloved a kiss and a smile. It’s not always easy, but it is always important. A relationship is not just something that happens in a day. Life with your soulmate is a daily experience over a lifetime. So every day is important. Strive for everyday to have at least one playful moment of shared childlike joy.

Secret 5 – Surround yourself with artworks that radiate love and happiness

The experience of Love is priceless. Can you imagine creating a special place in your home that radiates such warm and loving energy?

How it works is very simple. What you hold in your mind on a day to day basis determines what you will experience in your life. By placing loving artworks in a special location in your house every time you see them your unconscious mind will start to think more thoughts of love and happiness. Gradually your thoughts become more consciously loving until you find your life and your relationship filled with love and happiness.

Are you already in a relationship with someone special? Is this person your soulmate? When you place these special images of love in a sacred space you create a special room filled with loving and harmonious energy for both of you to share, a place where only love can enter.

The right Artworks will serve you as a powerful, daily, visual reminder of the power of love and will encourage you to experience a happier and more loving relationship.

10 Keys to Bring Inspiration into Your Life or How to Be Inspired

Have you ever asked yourself what is inspiration? What is being inspired?

When the word inspiration is broken down into its component parts, it simply means “in – spirit”.

When you are living “in – spirit” You feel excited about yourself and your life. You have a special connection with all parts of your mind and body.

The question is how can you connect to your spirit at all times to take actions that enable you to be inspired?

Below are the ten keys to opening the doors to your inspiration.

1. The first key to inspiration is enjoyment. It would take a spiritual master to be inspired about doing the dishes. So find something that really excites you. It can be anything that you really enjoy. You have to have fun.

2. The second key to inspiration is love. When you are actively pouring love into what you are doing, this will guarantee that you are opening yourself to experiencing more inspiration. If you love what you do and do what you love, this will guarantee that you will be inspired.

3. The third key to inspiration is to trust in yourself. Listen to that little voice inside yourself and know that this comes from heart. This is called intuition. Intuition is the spark the sets off the fires of inspiration.

4. The fourth key to inspiration is to follow what your intuition tells you. The more you listen to it, the stronger your intuition will become. If you don’t pay attention, that little voice gets fainter and fainter until you can no longer hear it. The spark goes out, and gets harder and harder to rekindle.

5. The fifth key to be inspired is to believe in yourself. Keep telling yourself “I can”. These are some of the most powerful words that you can ever use. When you say this to yourself often enough, you build a bridge between yourself and your inspiration.  When you are backed by a strong belief in yourself and your dreams, nothing is impossible.

6. The sixth key to inspiration is not to listen to anyone that says “no you can’t”. They might think that they are helping you, and try to project this negative belief onto you, but remember to keep telling yourself that, “I can!” Nothing will kill your inspiration quicker than listening to people say “no you can’t do that” Understand that often what they mean is “No, I can’t do that, so you shouldn’t either” Its best to simply thank them for their advice, pay no attention to it and not discuss it further.

7. The seventh key to being inspired is to avoid negativity. Ask yourself, do you really need to read the newspaper or watch the news on TV every day? Nothing kills inspiration quicker than being surrounded by bad news. How you can you possibly feel inspired if everywhere you look you are getting reports of doom, gloom and destruction. What if instead of watching the news, you spent time doing what it is that you really love? What if you just spent just 1/2hr a day doing what you really love? What sort of a change would it make in your life after a whole year?

8. The eight key to inspiration is acceptance. Accept that on some days you feel much more inspired than on others. This is normal. Nobody can be completely inspired every minute of the day. So on the days when you feel flat, just know that this will pass and don’t feel too troubled about not feeling inspired.

9. The ninth key to inspiration – Take action every day, no matter how small a step it seems. Action is the fuel to the fires of inspiration. Make it a daily practice to keep your fire burning. The taking of actions, no matter how small, will fill you with inspiration for taking the next step.

10. The tenth key to inspiration is the most powerful of all. Simply put, it is to surround yourself with things that inspire you. This is so laughingly simple that many people over look this. It could be inspiring music, inspiring recorded talks, inspiring books and inspirational art.

One of the most powerful ways to be inspired comes from surrounding yourself with inspirational art. Artworks come in many forms such as paintings and sculptures, and have such an amazing power to influence thoughts and emotions, to uplift and also inspire. By the careful placement of inspiring artworks, you can transform your living and working environments to be places filled with light and inspiration.

All of these 10 keys to inspiration are very simple things. Try them today and you will be amazed at what a difference it will make in your life.

May your life be filled with Love and Happiness and Inspiration!

An EASY way to Fill Your Life with Happiness

Would you like to know an easy little secret that is guaranteed to bring more happiness into your life? It is quick to learn and very easy to do. It really works.

Put simply, it is developing the habit of counting your (+) positives.

Life is a numbers game. Every day, you are surrounded with countless numbers. The number of friends you have, the number of breaths you take, the number of hours, minutes and seconds in your day.

Your happiness can be greatly enhanced by how you count your numbers.

For example, just imagine that you and 5 of your good friends have been planning to have a three weeks holiday together. At the last minute, one of your friends says that they can’t make it.

What do you spend your holiday thinking about?

Will you focus on all the exciting and fun activities that you and your (+4) friends can do together? Or will you spend the whole time regretting the (-1) friend who can’t make it? Which will put you in a better mood and allow you to experience a more enjoyable holiday?

What happens if instead of the full three weeks, you are only able to spend two weeks on holidays with your friends. Will you try to make every minute of these (+14) days as joyful and full of laughter as possible? Or will you be miserable the whole time because you have to cut (-7) days short off your holiday ?

Which approach will lead you to more happiness ?

One of life’s little secrets is that counting your negatives only leads to more disappointment. When you count what you don’t have (-) you interfere with your ability to enjoy what you (+) do have.

Many holy scriptures and ancient sages have put it like this

“Count your blessings”

This does not mean sitting around in a circle with an angelic look of mindless bliss on your face. It simply means making the effort to recognise and count all of the positive things in your own life.

Here is something worth thinking about.

How many days of good health did you enjoy last year ?

If you are like most people, you will have experienced far more days of good health than feeling ill in the past year. This is definitely a (+) positive!

Do you take your (+) good health for granted and mainly remember those (-) times when you were feeling ill? Or do you celebrate every day that you feel healthy ?

When you develop the habit of recognising all of the many good things that have a (+) positive sign in front of them, you allow yourself to experience much greater happiness.

On the other hand, if you spend your time and energy counting things that have a (-) negative sign in front of them, your life will only become more unfulfilled. Isn’t it interesting?

Take a couple of minutes, and really think about it.

There are so many good things in your own life that have a (+) in front of them. It is up to you to take the time to recognise them. Your (+) list is as long as you choose to make it.

So start counting your blessings and make a list of everything good in your life today.
